Does your website have all these 7 elements of website designing?
Right now, your business needs a professional website. Have a look at the checklist of elements of a good website designing.
As we have discussed earlier, good website design is somewhat a relative term. There is no hard and fast rule that must be followed to get a good website.
As promised, today we are going to discuss the 7 important elements that must be there in the checklist when you are creating a new website.
As per the latest trends, less is more. Keeping that in mind, let’s begin the seven pointers.
1.Choosing the right color palette
Getting the right color for your website is really necessary. Most companies have one primary and one secondary color within which the entire content of the website wiggles. If you starting everything from the scratch, make sure your other marketing collaterals are in sync with the primary and secondary colors of the website.
It will be smart if you do not choose multiple colors as that can disrupt your design. If you look into some major company websites you will find that they are using one background color and one accent color. If you notice carefully, there are no such offbeat colors. Mostly worked on pastels with no hues. When you simplify the color scheme, it becomes easy for a viewer to concentrate on the content which is important.
2.Make room for white space
No! By white space, we are simply not talking about a place that is white. Technically, the term white space is that buffer area in your website which is in between the copy, sidebar, margins, visual content, etc. This space does not need to be white.
You just need the readers to give a space to breathe. Attention span in a website is important. This white space will not bore visitors. When the website is crowded with elements, it becomes difficult for the visitors to focus.
Make a clean design in a minimalistic style to allow the visitors to easily navigate within the website.
3.Using call-to-action
As we all know it is damn difficult to convert the visitors into leads. In those hard-earned chances, you might not miss any potential to keep them hooked. It should never happen that some person is interested to contact you but they are not finding ways to do that. Make sure your contact detail is available easily. Do not miss out on any chances to place your call-to-action (CTA).
Put the CTA’s in relevant places throughout the website and make sure you nurture the incoming leads as per the best business purpose.
4.Keep a clean coding
There are various modern elements of web designing. But one of the most important factors is the functionality of the website. Hope you are aware of the fact that for every website there is backend coding that dictates the performance of the website. Skillful designers will enable the site to load quickly and navigate easily so that viewers have higher chances of converting into leads and future customers. Keep the backend less cluttered. In case, there is a bug it will be easy to locate and fix.
5.Think as a User
Remember, your visitors are not coming to your website to see a stack of keywords piled up with no real informative content. Putting keywords is a must but it must not scream business only. Try to connect with the audience with the look and feel of your website. Your rankings are not important than your customer satisfaction.
If you can attract the audience, visitors will return back to your website. Sometimes, the design of the website is planned while keeping in mind Google rankings but eventually the website is not user-friendly.
To just keep you informed, Google is smarter than your strategies. The interface can identify the value of your website by tracking the visitor timings and their comeback frequency.
6.SEO is equally important
Just because we said that the website should be user-friendly, we are not rubbishing the idea of SEO. Well, that is the art of modern SEO. As Tom Fishburne says, “The best marketing doesn’t feel like marketing.”
So, the idea is that the marketing you do should not be visible to the naked eye. The backend coding of the pages and posts are to be reworked if necessary to enhance the user experience.
There are elements like Meta tags, headline tags, and several other HTML codes that will help your site to climb up the ladder of website ranking.
7.Optimizing the speed of the website
When it comes to design elements of the website, page optimization stays as one of the most important criteria. Nobody is ready to wait. They are impatient to give more time. They search something, it’s not appearing immediately, and “its crap” is what they give the verdict.
They will max stay for 2-3 seconds and never return to your website. As a business owner, potential leads drift away is the last thing you will want.
To assure a quicker loading time, focus on the following things.
• Get an optimized photo
• Allow file compressions
• Use Google Chrome’s Developer Tools to minimize the HTTP request
• Get the right hosting
These elements of website designing are important but not ultimate. With the need of the situation, a developer needs to improve the functionality and design it as per the requirement.
